JUST STOP....ALREADY!!!

This is 💯 another venting post. Sometimes just getting it out helps me let go of the disgust and bitterness and anger I have after dealing with behavior from others that is entirely unacceptable and unnecessary. But I am not here to point fingers and take no blame. I'm guilty of being arrogant and self-righteous way more than I'd like to admit, so it's not because I think I'm better or don't understand what it's like to do the things humans do that are UGLY!!!

If I were better, I wouldn't feel the need to write this or need to be rescued by Jesus from the firey pit of HELL myself!!!

BUT I WILL BE HONEST AND SAY THAT THESE ARE THINGS THAT MAKE ME BURN WITH INDIGNATION because it's wrong and "SHOULDN'T HAPPEN":

1. People who feel the need to kick others when they are down!

2. People who hold others to a much higher standard than they hold themselves.

3. Those who are first to redirect the attention to someone else's obvious faults or mistakes to attempt to divert attention from their own.

4. Nurses who treat other hardworking nurses like their skills or practice style are lesser than because....(fill in the blank...there is no "GOOD ENOUGH" BECAUSE!)

5. Snide and/or condescending remarks to anyone for any reason... I've done it, I'm guilty too, but I can admit it's NOT OK!

6. Be rude to someone who is happy because you're not!!!! (Please go find your own other miserable people to be around and be miserable together! Some of us just dug ourselves out of a nasty pit that we dug for ourselves and aren't that far from diving back in 🤨)

OK, there! I could say a lot more but that would make me too much like the Ugly I'm really, really tired of right now! So, I'll stop, take a deep breath and step back...I'll remind myself that those hurtful things come from broken people who are vulnerable, fragile and in need of compassion and mercy just as much as my broken soul is... we're all humans and the rain falls and the sun shines on the righteous and the wicked...and heaven forbid, I judge wrongly in this life and withhold forgiveness that will only condemn me in the long run!
